2015 Blindspot

Something I've recently discovered is the Blindspot series, which bloggers partake in each year. The idea is to pick classic movies you have not yet viewed, and believe should be a part of your movie knowledge. Considering my new years resolution is to watch a larger variety of films (as in from different eras, in different languages, etc), this seemed like the perfect thing to do.

So, here is my list of the 12 films I have selected:
  1. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
  2. Once Upon A Time In America (1984)
  3. Metropolis (1927)
  4. Vertigo (1958)
  5. Citizen Kane (1941)
  6. Rebel Without A Cause (1955)
  7. The Great Dictator (1940)
  8. Rocky (1976)
  9. The Seventh Seal (1957)
  10. The Night of The Hunter (1955)
  11. M (1931)
  12. A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)

It's terrific!" appears in the top right of the picture. "Orson Welles" appears in block letters between the women and the man in the white suit. "Citizen Kane" appears in red and yellow block letters tipped 60° to the right. The remaining credits are listed in fine print in the bottom right.

I have intended to see each one of these films for a good long while, and I looking forward to ensuring 2015 is the year I view each one of these films.

Excellent choices. Have seen all of these. The Great Dictator is my favourite Chaplin film. Some you just have to see for their cinematic achievements (have to admit that although 2001 looks amazing I didn't like it the first time I saw it).
